Sunday Hubby...Rooster and I took a road trip...
I love small town life....
It was a beautiful day...
it was a work/ pleasure trip...
I love the Possum Kingdom Lake area...
Hubby took me there when we were dating...
we went on our first camping trip together there...
we took our son on his first fishing trip there..
he was about 3 years old...
we sat on the boat docks...
he caught sun perch...he was so excited...
pulling them up on his Snoopy rod and reel...
slapping me in the face with a couple of them...
this is where he got his love of fishing...

this is the view from our customers place...
isn't it beautiful...

we did learn a valuable lesson on our road trip...
you can't always believe Maps on the internet...
especially in small towns...
we spent about 2 hours wondering around....
of course we did see some great sights...
so it was not a loss...
but the road we were looking for....
didn't even go out to the FM road like it looked in the map...
finally talked Hubby into stopping to ask...
we pulled in a parking lot of a store...
a volunteer fire dept group pulled in...
Hubby asked them...
guess what...the road was right there next to the store...
the same store we passed three times...
no name of the road...road not on map...
guess we should have asked the customer for directions...

that's one thing that certainly needs work - google maps, etc. :) looks like a great place to be 'lost', however.

That is indeed a beautiful place. I have happy memories of my son and grandsons going to boy scout camp there and of the family camping at the state park.

What a beautiful place and what great memories!

I love how internet maps and GPS can lead you so far astray! We've done that many times. Glad you found your way though!

When in doubt ask. Unfortunately men don't seem to like that! Beautiful lake. I'm so glad you had a good day!

Glad you found the road you were looking for and had a great time, anyway. It looks like a beautiful place to be on a lovely sunny day!

Can you imagine waking up to that view every day?
First time I have heard of the internet maps being off...

Lovely day! Yes, Texas has it all! Macho men, too! Why is it they won't ask for directions until forced to?
