 I love living in Texas...
we have so many different landscapes...
we have flat grounds...we have rolling hills...
we have rocks...we have black dirt...red dirt...sand...
the ocean...lakes...and even snow in the Panhandle...
they are having a snow storm their now...

you can pretty much find it all...
there are a lot of photo ops...
if you take the time to see them...
 while on our road trip...
I told Hubby...we are fortunate to live where we do...
we are with in miles of so many interesting places..
we can take a road trip every week...
and not go to the same place twice...
we never take vacations...
but day road trips are easy for us to plan...
so my goal is to start doing some road trips...
and explore this great state we live in...
I've been here for almost 51 years...
time to do some exploring....
do you like long vacations?
do you like day road trips?
is there some where local you've been meaning to visit?
but just never get around too...
what's holding you back???
Just Do it....

I want to go see the dinosaur bones and Ft. Fischer...and the Alamo, some day. I have lived here all my life...57 years...and never seen the Alamo or the dinosaur bones. I went to Ft. Fischer when I was about 10 and I remember it being really neat, but have never been back..would love to go!

Telephone wires down, trees?

Good advice. I am prone to TALK about the places I would like to go and not DO. Like you there in TX we have plenty of places we should visit not too far off! As the kids have gotten older we are free to do more of those kinds of trips. I will be interested to read about your road trips!

We've explored most of Wisconsin and I love it!
In Texas I've been to San Antonio, and other southern parts.
I loved San Antonio with the river walk and Big Bend National Park.
That was utterly amazing!
I love short road trips, long ones, you name it.
Right now a little 2 year old keeps us more home bound, but she is worth it!

We also like day trips or weekend trips. We do have a lot of visiting opportunities here in north Texas. We've camped all over the state. I love Palo Duro Canyon and Mustang Island.

I love the fence with the vines! So glad you enjoy your day trips.
There is so much to see in the United States.

Day trips are the best option for us as we need to be available for looking after grandson after school some days.
Getting out for a short trip is always rejuvenating. Looks like there's lots to see and do in your State.

Day trips are the best, but I find I really relax if I have at least two weeks in one place. Where I really unwind is by the ocean. I've always wanted to go to the Bahamas or Key West. What holds me back? MONEY!

The big thing stopping me from doing more exploring is the lack of a car... You can't go too far when you are walking...
Do you have butterflies out already!!! Wow!!
