my new little pal...
has been hanging around for months now...
is very vocal to the dogs...
will sit up in the tree and chatter away...
she has gotten really accustomed to us people...
yesterday she let me with in 8 ft. without even moving...
so I went in an grabbed a few peanuts in the shell..
brought them out..tossed them over to her...
didn't even move...
I backed away..she went right over to eat them...
as any good blogger...grabbed my camera...
she was an excellent model....
she spends a lot of time on the tree...
and on my storage building....
she was chattering away...
I've decided to name her Shirley....
Last night we took the family out to Texas Roadhouse...
for an early celebration for my daughters birthday...
It would have been my Nana's (my ladybug) 99th birthday...
it was a fun evening...the food was good...
first thing Hotrod flipped over a concrete bench...
scrapped his forehead and nose...got a little bump on his head...
scared us all half to death...but he was okay....
Boys....Men...always looking for adventure...
to give us gals gray hair I guess....
he was as good as could be...he loves going out...
unfortunately we had a male waiter...
so he didn't get to do any flirting...
he did flirt with the ones passing the table though...
We had a spring like day in Texas...
I opened the windows...let some fresh air in...
hung out my comforter and quilt on the line...
felt so good to crawl under them last night...
a little Texas sun sure makes them feel fresher than a dryer...
I was home alone most of the day yesterday...
I got a lot of chores done...
I cranked up my tunes...did a little singing and dancing...
in the midst of it all...
thank goodness no one was looking in the windows...
they might have hauled me off...
Do you enjoy a little alone time?
Do you ever sing and dance like no one is watching???
good for the soul....

I always enjoy some time alone at home! I do the same thing!
Welcome Shirley!!! :-)
Sounds like a lovely day. Alone to dance away, for one part of it. And a lovely time with family, later.
I'm so glad that not all the waiters were male, in that restaurant! Glad "HR" had a chance to practice his flirting, on other gal servers! A guy can never get too much practice! ,-)
i even slow dance with my self... me to on glad no one is peeking in the windows. i know they don't or i would hear the laughter... Shirley is one fine looking squirrel, much bigger than our little ones here. HR would love Bray park, the squirrels come for peanuts and some eat it out of our hands or sit on the back of the bench and eat and chirp...

You have never told us, how your son (Hotrod's daddy) reacts to "HR's" flirting expertise... -giggggles-
If I was there, I'd be teasing him/son, asking if he has been doing alllllll this flirtingggggg, all his life, tooooooooo?!?! ,-) Betcha' I could get him to blushing. :-))))))
Welcome Shirley to the world of blogging!!!
i LOVE my alone time! :)
what a cute 'shirley'. love that jump shot!
Debbie, did you cut bangs and color your hair darker? It's awesome I love it!!!!!
Squirrels are such camera hogs. Do I love my private time? Oh yes!
I so wish I had a "Shirley" that visited me on the farm...
What great pictures of the squirrel. Sure glad Hotrod was okay after his spill. Oh, I so enjoy my 'alone' time and I do some dancing now and then. Love music and listen to it when I don't want 'quiet alone' time. Hugs
I'm jealous of Shirley. My neighborhood was established in 2004 and the trees aren't very big or plentyful except for the outer edges where it's more wooded so I have seen a squirrel or two there but none in my yard. At the old house there was one missing his tail and my neighbor named him Stubby. He would do the same as Shirley and just chatter at our Dogs as he ran the fence rails and phone lines.
