Today is Fat Tuesday....
lot's of partying will be going on...
hope everyone is safe with their celebrations...
no parties here...
Tomorrow is the first day of lent...
I'm not catholic...
but I've been giving up something for lint...
one year I gave up the computer on Wednesdays...
I didn't do so well...
this year...
I'm giving up artificial sweetened and sugar sweetened drinks...
I figured...good for my health too...
no more lemonade...or koolaide...
I've never been a hot tea drinker...
but I gave it a try...
you can only drink so much water...
I have to do decaffeinated...
so I found Celestial green tea..
Candy Cane Lane at Wally World...
not too bad...
I also got a lemon one...
Valentines Day is Thursday...
we don't do anything special...
sometimes we may go out to eat...
but that's the extent of it...
I do love all the decorations though...
Red is my favorite color...
I love hearts...
Hubby and I will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary
next week......
where did the time go???
My Dad will be 70 at the end of the month...
February is a busy month in our family...
birthdays...anniversaries....

good luck on the no-artificial sweeteners thing. probably a whole lot healthier for you. :)
i drink water only unless we eat out then i get iced tea.. i do love lemonade so have that with sugar about once a month. i do drink coffee in the am though. we don't do valentines here either and i do love read.
Giving up artificial sweetened and sugar sweetened drinks... Sounds like a very-good-for-your-health project.
I have to have decaf too, but never got into really enjoying tea. Which is sad, since so many gals really seem to love tea. And they are always drinking tea, in so many of the books I read. -chuckle-
I was born/and/bred Catholic for over 60 years. I had all the Lent Stuff, I can stand, for a life time. ,-)

No Fat Tuesday celebrations here either, or Valentine's Day, which is sort of funny since my last name is Valentine.
Good luck on giving up on the artifically sweetened and sugar sweetened drinks. I hope it goes well.
No celebrations here. We will enjoy the day like we do each and every day. Like you I wonder where the time goes. I love that first picture. Hugs
Sounds like giving up the sweetners will be a good thing.
We don't do Valentine's day here, but last year the Superhero cooked dinner and brought home flowers! Oh, where does the time go? I wonder that all the time!
Fat Tuesday... I never heard it called that before. Happy 30 years!!!
30 years!!!! Wow, that is awesome.
Fun pictures. I only drink water with fresh lemon squeezed into it.
I use to drink 1/2 lemonaid and half water but this is so much better for me. Good luck!
We went to the pancake supper at the church for Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras. I seldom make pancakes, so I loved it.
When my sister makes iced tea, she makes a pot of regular tea and chills it. No sugar. It was a surprise the first time I had it!You could do that with herbal teas, too.
