We were 90 degrees today in Texas....
while so many other states are in the midst of a Heat Wave...
Texas has to be different...
a cool front...
yes 90 degrees on July 1st...
is a cool front in Texas...
not gonna complain a bit....
it didn't slow our business down a bit...
still gotta have those air conditioners going strong....
it's gonna be an odd week with Thursday off...
then back to work on Friday....
we tried a new squash recipe last night...
we have a lot of squash.....
you just cut your squash up in rounds...
put a little olive oil on them...
mix Parmesan cheese with corn meal or bread crumbs...
cover the squash with the mix...
bake at 425 till crisp...
very yummy...
My Mom is so clever...
she can't put out bird seed because of varmits...
so she put these glass rocks in it....
I'm stealing borrowing her idea...
thank you Mom...
My Mom is having all the family over on July 4th...
she is frying up chicken....
I can't wait....
I did a little photo shoot on Sunday of her place...
so you know I will be sharing it with you...
I love her place..it is so relaxing and inviting...
she finds her treasures every where...
she can take something from some ones trash...
add some paint...or rocks...or material...
and it is a treasure....
My Dad and Step Mom are the same way...
I just love wandering around looking at all their treasures...

it was such a wonderful, temperate day!
It's been a little cooler here too, but I think it's because of all the rain. Can't wait to see your pictures and what a great idea! I can't have birdseed either because it draws rats! Makes my skin crawl!
Your mom's place sounds a bit like ours... things to see around every corner. Hoarding has it's benefits. ;)

Oh my that recipe sounds delish! I love, love, love veggies, baked in the oven. Yummmmmmmm....
I can get away with eating some dairy, the Parm cheese. And he uses my G/F pretzels, ground up, in place of bread crumbs in our recipes. :-)
Oh my, more creative Ladies! good thing some ladies are creative. They can give ideas, to the less creative ones, like me. :-)
Happy 4th Debbie!
