Hump day already...
it has been a odd week...
My Uncle Don was buried today in a private ceremony...
just my Aunt, cousins and their families...
I can understand their feelings...
why does it take a death...or birth...
to remind us...
we need to spend time with the ones we love...
life can sure get away from us...
years can pass with a blink of an eye...
I'm happy that I'm back in touch with my cousin...
we had a lot of fun as kids...
Hotrod had his first day of school...
he did very well...he had a lot of fun...
he was happy to see us when we picked him up...
but he wasn't happy to leave the cars behind...
he didn't take a nap...he told his teacher...
we need to wake up our friends so we can play...
Today I got Hotrod early...
his Mom was called in to work early...
we went to the sprinkle park...
I can't believe we haven't been once this summer...
he had so much fun...
there was a little girl about his age there...
just the two of them...they played well together..
she didn't speak a bit of English...
but it didn't stop the fun....
I'm still doing Paleo...I can really tell a difference...
I feel a lot better...my clothes feel a little looser...
I have a long ways to go...but it is a start...
My friends Dad is now bedridden...
can only eat yogurt...please send up a little prayer...

Aww, I'm so sorry about your Uncle. I've gone through your posts that I've missed, and I really love the pictures of your Mom!
I'm sorry about your uncle.
Your mama is just the cutest and as always, all your photos are gorgeous!
I think we could a lot from Hotrod and his non-English speaking friend. I hope you will keep us informed on your Paleo progress. I am interested in this diet.
LOL! That sounds like something Alex would say about waking the friends up so they could play!! I'm glad you are still enjoying time with him... a blessing, Deb. A blessing.
Glad to hear the Paleo is doing well... I still have too much of a frenzy going on around here to be able to rein myself in. =/

Good to hear that HR is doing well with his new routine -- and that Paleo is agreeing with you.
Happy Thursday Deb. xo
perfect weather for the sprinkler. love the shot of your mom, if she had sleeves in her blouse and the skirt had one more ruffle she would look like she dropped out of the 1800's.
I love that last photo, of you Mom!!! She sure had a good time with you!!
