Hotrod was full of mischief today...

it never helps to have Pawpaw in the office...

they just seem to bring out the mischief in each other...

I had several projects that had to be done today...

 well my two "boys" weren't real cooperative...

between Gram crackers smashed on my office floor...

milk knocked over...both on purpose...

while I was on the phone...

Hubby needing my help every two minutes...

find this...where's that...

call so and so....did you...could you...would you.....

 

 the morning was a little exasperating....

all the while...I was trying to get my projects done...

I got a little reprieve...

Pawpaw took Hotrod with him to take a part back...

it gave me enough time to get a few things done...

 

 we were able to take Hotrods picnic table outside...

for a picnic lunch...

then fun on the dirt/rock pile...

a good way to wear off a little bit of that energy....

 

for both of my "boys"....

and the dogs too....

 

 

also gave me a little time...

with my camera...

some sunshine on my face....

 

 

just what we all needed...

Hotrod was ready for a nice nap....

 

 

Hubby got out of the office....

and out of my hair....

 

 

I was able to get my projects completed...

I spent over an hour trying to pay school taxes on line...

the site kept crashing...everyone else...

was waiting till the last day...just like me....

finally got it in....another thing checked off my list...

Hotrod woke up in a good mood...

after a snack...

back outside we went...till time for him to go home...

Oma and Pawpaw were wore smooth out...

a bowl of Hubbies homemade chili for supper....

now for a relaxing Friday night....

 It warmed up a bit today....

so we took advantage of it....

Hubby had some road base dumped for a project...

Hotrod is taking advantage of it...

 

 a great place to drive a car....

 

 Come on Pawpaw...join us on the hill....

Poor Rooster is having to take break from his ball...

he has been limping a bit...

we can't find anything wrong with him...

so for now it's just catch...no chasing the ball...

 

there are so many things to do with a pile of rocks...

and dirt.... 

 

 balls...cars...dogs...boys...

 

and lot's of photo ops for an Oma....



 today was a productive day....

I love days where I feel like I got things accomplished...

too many days...

I feel like I haven't....

 

 Hotrod is becoming a good helper...

today he pulled all the socks out of one basket...

put them in another one for me....

 

 Hubby bought me a new vacuum cleaner today...

I was trying to figure out how to work something on it...

Hotrod told me how to do it...

I was wondering how in the world he knew that...

then he said Mommies vacuum looks like yours....

 

 

recently we changed our cable plan...

still with the same company...

but changed our channels a bit...

well Hubby has found a whole new world of things to watch...

I'm not sure it was a good thing to change...

now we are watching 5 or 6 shows at the same time...

 

 we are still cold here in Texas....

we were at 17 this morning....

that is 17 degrees.....crazy....

 

 I sure hope that silly ground hog shows that spring is coming...

I don't like time to pass faster...

but I am ready for spring....

 

Hotrod is ready for playing in water weather...

he has been asking for the last two weeks...

we are fortunate here to have so many months of warmness...

he gets to play in water for 5 or 6 months at a time...

he remembers that too....

this kid loves playing in water...

but can not stand bath time....

Silly boy......

 the male species look at things....

so much differently....

than us females do.....

it starts early too....

 

 Hotrod is such a real boy now...

every day....I just can't believe how he is maturing....

and growing like a weed...

I'm afraid he will pass me up in the height department...

before I know it...

(which isn't saying much at 4ft11...if I stretch it)

 

 I'm just wondering what these two are thinking....

 

last year this slide was really fast...

which was a surprise to my son...

this year it wasn't too fast....

they actually had to kind of push them selves down it...

you just never know...

I guess that is a little like life...

some days are smooth sailing...

some days...well you just have to push through...

I am proud to say...the heat is now working again in my office...

 I think this is the year of the YOYO winter....

we were 70 on Sunday...

in the 20's today....

 

 the big old shot sure did make a big difference....

feeling so much better.....

my heat went out in my office again.....

pushing the Hubby to get it repaired...

have a little pull to move up on the list....

 

 

 

I had a friend offer me a baby goat....

her Mom wouldn't feed her....

well we aren't ready yet...so I had to turn him down...

Hubby has to build a corral and a little barn...

soon....very soon....

 

I had a crazy dream last night...

I was trying to find out what time it was...

every clock I looked at was broken...

the one on my phone...on the wall...

every where I went....broken clocks...

usually I dream that I am trying to find a bathroom...

I never can find one that works...

then I was dreaming I was looking for my inhaler...

someone had taken it a part...

but the pieces would not go back together right....

Hubby dreams about fighting...people chasing him...

wonder what that says about us???lol

I guess I worry too much about time....bathrooms...and my inhaler...

Now Hubby...well that sounds like a whole different thing...

must be all those movies he watches...

or maybe his wild  umm his carefree teenage years...

 



Sending prayers out to my daughters friend M...

her Grandmother passed away...

her Mom found out she has cervical cancer...

they are going to do a hysterectomy....

the Dr. thinks this should take care of it....

keeping my fingers crossed that baby EJ hangs in another week...

so I can get pregnancy photos with his Mommy and Daddy...

 



If not...well we will be doing newborn photos....

you never know with first babies...

she has been having false labor...

 All week I was looking forward to my girls night...

I had a head cold all week....

took meds all week trying to get rid of it...

nothing was going to stop this get together....

I found the flowers for my friends birthday...

Happy Birthday S G....

 I found these cute wine glasses at Dollar Tree...

so of course I had to get them.....

 we had snacks...drinks....

 did a little Valentine craft...

thank you dear Hubby for forming all the hearts for us....

he was our go to guy for the night....

making sure 9 girls were well taken care of...

 

this is the one my daughter made...

and I had a special guest.....

I am so happy to have her as a blog pal...

and a real life world pal...

Hubby had the best time talking to her...

all my friends loved her...

of course we got to hear a few quad stories....

we all shared our grandkid or grandniece stories....

 



Hubby kept a big fire going outside....

we got to sit around...stay warm...

tell lot's of stories from our high school days...
(5 of us went to high school together 6 including Hubby)

some that my Mom...ooops didn't know about....

and no Dad you can't ground me...

the statue of limitations is up....



I found gigantic marshmallows at Wally World...

my daughter brought the fixings for smores....



S G said this was better than a birthday cake....

 It was a fun night....lot's of laughs...

a good group of ladies...I am very proud to know....

we are definitely doing this more often....

by the time everyone left my head was hurting...

my right ear was hurting...

I had so wanted to go see my brother preach...

instead I was at the Dr. office...

good news I've lost 20 lbs since on Paleo....

bad news...Sinus infection..ear infection....

one big shot in the you know where...

3 different meds....

my kiddos went to church this morning...

also my BFF and her husband went....

I'm so happy they got to go....

I'm headed back to my heating pad....

tomorrow is a new day....

 

 

 

Hotrod had to stop at each one to measure....

he's growing fast...but not quite that fast....

 well I think I have Hubby talked into a couple of goats...

females...just for pets....

will probably be this spring...

he will have to build them a pen and shelter...

oh boy are we going to have fun....

especially Hotrod...

I'm thinking we will have plenty of volunteers...

to help out with the care...

so it won't interfere if Hubby and I want to slip off occasionally...

 when I've mentioned it in the past...

Hubby...being a man...

was trying to figure out how we could make money off them...

I made mention how some red dog we have...

doesn't make us any money...

not mentioning any names...

they would just be fun pets...

a learning experience for Hotrod...

 they do clear off fence lines....

are good fertilizers for the lawn....

and garden....

I asked my son if I could do his CD cover...

if he ever gets around to recording his music...

he actually agreed....hmmm you never know....

 a family friend keeps asking me...

if I ever thought about printing and framing some of my photos 

to sell....I told her I wouldn't know which ones to pick...

she said just pick a variety...

I've been thinking about doing that...

I'm always running across cool frames at Thrift stores...

garage sales...

 Brrrrr it is cold here in Texas today...

the wind is icy cold...

this weekend...back to warm again....

I changed my craft again for my girls night...

I found one that will be easy to do...

sitting around a fire...talking...laughing...

 working all at the same time....

no special skills required...

of course I will share photos next week...

My brother asked my Mom...

if she thought I might be able to make it to see him preach

on Sunday...she told him she didn't know...

but the invitation was given to me...

I'm hoping he will enjoy the surprise....

I've invited all my local folks to come...

hopefully there will be a big crowd for him....

Thank you for all the well wishes for Hubby...

he's still sore but much better today...

He fell off a chair a couple of weeks ago...

he was standing on it to hang something...

our floor is concrete and slippery...

the chair went out from under him...

he hit the floor...

hurt his wrist....banged himself up...

thankfully he didn't hit his head..

or we would have had a big hole in the floor...

lol...he has a very hard head....
