where are those darn Hot flashes when you need them...
it hasn't got above 32 today....
we started at 18...
I'm not going to keep complaining though...
my sister in love in Illinois...
posted photos and video of their snow and cold....
enough said....
back to a normal 5 day work week....
Hotrod back to school....
he goes twice a week...
Daughter back teaching dance....
I love the holidays...
but ready to get back to some sort of normalcy....
well as normal as you can get around here...
which most of the time is a 3 ring circus...
with all the dogs....
Hotrod.....all the guys....
it's more like a zoo....
but it is my normal....
I have two dear friends that have each lost a parent...
one lost her Mom a few years back...
one lost his Dad recently....
the holidays are really rough on them...
I feel bad not being able to help their hearts feel better...
I am thankful every day...
that I still have both of my parents...
seeing my friends that have lost theirs...
sure makes me appreciate the time I have with mine...
I know it must be hard on everyone to loose a parent...
but these two friends had such special connections...
not that they loved their parents any more than everyone else...
or that their parents loved them more that other parents
love their children...
it's just something there...that words can not explain...
all I can think of to do...
is let them know how much I care...
how special their parents were...
that I am here for them if they need to talk...
or even if they don't want to talk....

Debbie, your photographs are just wonderful! Funny, when you could use a hot flash, they are noticeably absent! I hear you! Thinking about ones who have lost parents, what a tough time. I lost my dad three years ago and seems like yesterday. You are a wonderful friend, the things you have told them is what they needed to hear. Just being there for them is perfect. You are a kind lady!
I'm back to my blogging, I've missed it so.
I'll be back again. Stay warm.

Fascinating images all - especially liked the harbor and sail boats.
Right now, I am thankful that the rain stopped before the flash freeze yesterday. I haven't checked the weather yet for today...
love that water tower.. and welcome back to NORMAl.... LOL...
i liked that quote about saltwater. :) great set of photos, too.
I think your photos could cheer anyone!!
Nice to see the bright sunshine in these shots.
I love the quote, saltwater is the cure. You have a thankful heart and it's an inspiration.
Enjoyed all the pictures. Stay warm and keeping your friends in my prayers.....
