can't seem to get warm today....
took Hotrod back to the Dr. for a recheck today...
his infection is gone....ear is healing....
that is the good news....
then he got a flu shot....
oh boy...that was not fun....
His Mommy was there to hold him while they did it...
but boy he let everyone know he did not appreciate it...
Thankfully he calmed down on the ride home...
we made a trip to the grocery store...
put things up...had lunch...
played outside for a while...
now I can't seem to get focused on anything of importance...
a nap would really be nice...
but my desk has a pile of need to do stuff...
so I gave myself a few minutes to catch up with blogging...
then its back to work for me....
it is nice being in business for yourself...
there are certain freedoms...
but it seems like business never really leaves...
it's always there for me...
I have to take phone calls...day or night...
365 days a year....I'm not complaining (really I'm not)...
just letting you know how it works in my world...
I never get accomplished every thing I want every day...
but I do get time with my Hotrod...with my kids...
so it all balances out in the long run...
Do I ever feel overwhelmed by it all???
yep...on a daily basis...but I'm finally learning...
you can't let it run you over...
you just got keep trucking along...it will all work out...
eventually...
so what if I have dust bunnies...stacked up files...
closets that need cleaning...
files that need filing...
what I do have is...
a awesome family...good friends...
blog pals...a crazy zoo with 4 dogs...
two of which are granddogters...
lot's of love....
lots of crazy stories to share...

be still my heart.. number 2 and 5 are just plain gorgeous. your dad is so talented. i love the fire showing through the letters. amazing shots of the fire. the good thing about your own business is Hot Rod has his OMA to keep him instead of daycare.. and the dogs benefit to... i know it gets hectic but you do it all so well
i think you make time for the important things of friends, family and fun times with your hubby remarkably well.

You are so right, Deb, about being in business for yourself... in a way it is more free, but the responsibility never stops... nor or you ever truly OFF. A trade off. We will continue to juggle. I think you do a great job.

Yeah, I'm with you, so what,you take time for the really important things which in my opinion makes you very wise!
I think having work and other responsibilities makes the little time we do get to ourselves that much better. It's just balancing it all that is important. Thanks for the "warm" photos! I could go for a good fire right now.
Glad Hotrods ear is better and does anyone like getting shots???? Poor little guy. Hope you have warmed up.
